Impact
Reduce inspection time in industrial appraisals by more than 90%.
Transform a B2B model from manual and analog operations to a self-service B2B2C environment.
Productivize calculation programs in a cloud and mobile context, available for acquiring new clients, thus expanding their reach both in typology and geography throughout the European region.

My key contribution
Detailed investigation of industrial processes with plant managers, technicians, CEOs, and a factory visit.
User experience design and direct coordination with development.
Assumed Product Manager duties in advanced stages.
Detected a strategic deviation that prevented risks and gave rise to a new independent project.

Process
The project was approached following a product design process structured around research, definition, design, and development, but flexibly adapted to real-world needs.
In-depth research into the sector and processes
The critical point was to understand in detail how the assessments were carried out, what data was essential, and how they flowed within the factories. This included interviews with very diverse profiles: plant managers, technicians, CEOs, and operational staff, as well as on-site visits to factories to observe and map the actual process. This knowledge allowed us to prioritize functionalities and design a product that would add value from the first version.
Functional design and coordination with development
As a designer, I defined the user experience and ensured the product's visual consistency, while also acting as a direct link with the development team to ensure the solutions were implemented optimally and on time. In advanced stages, I also assumed Product Manager roles to evaluate and prioritize new client requests.
Detecting a Strategic Drift
In one of the final iterations, the client requested a major new feature. I detected that it was not validated and could compromise deadlines and objectives, so I initiated a strategic review and proposed a pre-analysis before developing it. This investigation led to it being treated as a separate, larger project, avoiding risks to the core product.

“It was very difficult for us at the beginning to conceptualize how we wanted to build this model. How we connect appraisals, digital, financing... and how we create a message that people can understand and a business that makes sense. That was the hardest part for us, and that’s where you helped us the most.”
Fernando Lozano, CEO (Capital Appraisal)
